Avalanche
Lake South of the Avalanche Gorge footbridge on the Trail of the Cedars 2.0 mile climbs 500’.
Boundary Trail Park at Park Headquarters.
The Trailhead is at the south end of Mather Drive in the employee housing area. 5.3 miles to the Lincoln Creek junction. Trail continues approx. 15 miles to Coal Creek gentle up and down along the Middle Fork of the Flathead.
Fish Lake Sperry
Trailhead across from Lake McDonald Lodge 3.0 miles climbs 1,000’.
Howe Lake
5 miles forth of Fish Creek Campground on the unpaved Inside North Fork Road 2.0 miles climbs 240’.
John’s Lake Loop Trail
Watch for sign on Going-to-the-Sun Road north of Lake McDonald Lodge 3.0 mile loop climbs 160’.
McDonald Falls
North end of Lake McDonald on the North Lake McDonald Road View falls from bridge or take a very short walk up stream mostly level.
Mt. Brown Lookout
Trailhead across from Lake McDonald Lodge 5.4 miles climbs 4,325’ (strenuous).
Snyder Lake
Trailhead across from Lake McDonald Lodge 4.4 miles climbs 2,147’.
Sperry Chalet
Trailhead across from Lake McDonald Lodge 6.4 mile climbs 3,432’.
Sperry Glacier
Trailhead across from Lake McDonald Lodge 10.4 mile climbs 3,432’.
Trail of the Cedars
Across from the Avalanche Campground Ranger Station 0.4 mile loop level boardwalk (wheelchair accessible).
Trout Lake
1.5 miles west on North Lake McDonald Road (1.1 miles of unpaved road) 4.2 miles climbs 2,100’ then drops 2,100’ to the lake.
